Men with enlarged male breasts, or gynecomastia often avoid the pool or other places where they are forced to go shirtless in public, sometimes missing out on outdoor activities becauseof their embarrassment. A male breast reduction, or gynecomastia, could change a man’s life.

Today, almost half of all men have excess glandular tissue and/or excess localized fat in one or both breasts. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, gynecomastia accounts for more than 65 percent of all male breast disorders.

The cause is unknown, in most cases. It can be an imbalance of the hormones estrogen and testosterone.
